Mina, The Respectful Child
One afternoon, Mina asked if she could visit her Lolo Miloy at his home. She was worried because her Lolo Miloy was home alone. On her way there, she met a man who was having difficulty crossing the road. Without hesitation, Mina escorted the old man to the other side of the road. The happy old man thanked Mina for helping him get to the other side. Mina continued on her way when she met her teacher Mrs. Arañez. She then bowed her head to her chest and greeted her teacher, "Good afternoon Mrs. Arañez."

"Good afternoon to you as well Mina. Where are you going?", her teacher asked.
"I am on my way to my grandfather's house because I miss him, Ma'am," she answered.
"Ok Mina, be careful," answered her teacher.
"Opo Mrs. Arañez. Thank you very much Ma'am."
Mina again continued on her way ans finally arrived at the home of Lolo Miloy. She quickly made mano to the old man sitting in the living room and greeted him "Good afternoon Lo."
"Good afternoon to you as well grandchild," answered Lolo. "How is you Mama and Papa? " asked Lolo Miloy.
"They are fine Lolo. Mama was able to harvest many vegetables and she asked to bring some for you here," answered Mina.
"That's good my grandchild so my strength will come back. Bring with you this bottle of cow's milk plus this kilo of chicken. This is good for you."
"Thank you very much Lo. To be honest, it's not because I need to bring you vegetables, it's because I miss you. I love you very much Lo. I have to go home now because Mama might come looking for me."
"Ok, my grandchild, please take care," advised Lolo Miloy.
"Opo Lo and thank you very much," she reaches for his right hand to bless. Mina leaves the house of Lolo Miloy happy.

Being respectful is showing or giving respect to your elders and other children. Being polite gives life to our actions and words. Our relationships with one another could be smooth, quiet, and good if we all learned to repsect one another. In every thing we do, a respectful person is ready to be obedient.
We can show respect for our elders by the following:
-kissing the hands
- listening to the person talking
- following commands sincerely
- using the words "po" and "opo"
- being thankful and asking permission first
Not only should you respect your elders but you should repects kids like yourself by helping them and listening to them.
