Body Awareness Module 4 Week 4
Sa Tinun-an (To the Student)
Good morning kids! Today let us learn about the different parts of our body. Each part has a different/specific use.
Today, let us study them one by one through the activities we will be doing.
Kat-oni Kini (Learn This)
Today, we will learn:
1. Performing intense exercises/movements/activities by using the coordination of the different parts of the body.
Pasiuna (Introduction)
Our head, neck, feet and hands are just a few of the beautiful parts of the human body. Recognizing/knowing the various parts of our body helps us develop our body in a healthy way. We can use it to play, dance, write , and demonstrate our abilities. We can perform tasks using our bodies. A few things our body can do are walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, rotating, balancing and so on.
It is good for us to identify the parts of our body so that we use them for the right things. And we can protect it. We can easily learn the parts of our body by dancing, singing, listening to a story or song, and participating in the various intense activities that can teach us movement of each part of our body.

Now, let's talk about the other parts of the body and the activities these body parts can do.
The coordination of the different parts of the body can be used for play and exercise.
THE PARTS OF OUR BODY:
Ulo (Head)=> Here, we can find the eyes, nose, chin and ears. We turn to it for support of our necks. It can be used in any game or activity.
Upper Body Parts=> Here, we find the hands, arms, shoulders, chest, stomach and waist. These parts can be/are used in games/activities such as lifting, throwing, or even bending one's back backwards. One example of an activity is "Limbo Rock".
Lower Body Parts => Here, we can find the buttocks, thighs, knees, and feet. We use these parts for activities that require kneeling, swaying, walking and running. A few activities that make use of the lower body parts are dancing, gymnastics (tumbling), and soccer.
Balance
1. Place 2 or 3 books on the top of your head and try to walk while being careful not to let the book slip.
2. Place 2 or 3 books in each hand and walk without the books falling.
3. Place 4 or 5 books on your arms while being careful not to shake/fall for 30 seconds.
4. Go on tiptoe for 30 seconds without falling.
5. Stand up straight with your left leg lifted and bent for 30 seconds. Do the same with the other leg.
Hinumdumi Kini (Remember This)
☆ The body serves as the mold of a person, it is responsible for actions. The other parts of the body have their own uses that are useful and good for each person.
☆ We need to have an active lifestyle to prevent obesity and the diseases we can get from it. Activities such as exercise, playing and dancing are just a few of the ways to strengthen our body. Emables our body to control its weight.
