3. Draw/Paint a plant that shows different shapes, lines and colors using rubbing.

Pasiuna (Introduction)

Lesson 10: Plants in the Philippines

Have you ever seen a plant but didn't know its name? Did you ever ask your father and mother about it? Did you notice it has different shapes? Have you ever tried painting/drawing that plant you saw?

This module will help you to know the names of the surrounding plant species and draw its line and shapes. Moreover, you will be more successful in drawing the things you deserve to emulate.

Sulayi Kini (Let's Try This)

Directions: Connect the picture of the plant found under Column A to the correct name found under Column B.

Pagtuki (Let's Analyze This)

Parents please read the following guiding question:

Tun-i Kini (Let's Study)

Plants in the Surroundings

Different type of plants can be seen around us. A plant has different shapes. The shapes are based on its purpose.

For example, the leaf of the papaya is shaped like a hand while the leaf of gabi forms a heart shape.

Take a look at the following pictures:

Plant                Shape           Line          Color

Papaya             hand            zig-zag         green

Gabi                   heart             straight      green

There are still many plants around us. The plants that the Lord has created gives beauty to our world. Look around you to see what plants you can find.
